Bartın University Faculty of Literature, Department of Philosophy Undergraduate Program was established in 2011 and started to offer service courses throughout the university. In the 2015 academic year, it started to provide education in Normal and Second Formal Education Programs by taking its own students and gave its first graduates in 2019.

Since 2017, our department carries out student exchanges with have an agreement universities in the country and abroad, allowing students to enrich themselves by taking advantage of different educational experience opportunities.

As of the 2017-2018 academic year, our students were enabled to benefit from Double Major and Minor Programs in order to contribute to their business life and to raise the awareness of interdisciplinary work.

In the 2017-2018 academic year, in addition to the undergraduate program, the Graduate Program was opened and the admission of students who want to continue their education life after the undergraduate program was started. In the 2019 Fall semester, the first students from our Master's program graduated and obtained their proficiency diplomas in art.

Optional English preparatory education has been offered in order to contribute to the academic development of our students who have won our department since the fall semester of the 2018-2019 academic year.

With the decision of the Coincil of Higher Education dated 31/12/2019, it was decided to open a doctorate program in the Philosophy department and started to provide training to train qualified academicians.
